Business problem

Related report collections were not prominent enough on content pages, limiting discovery and engagement.

User problem

Readers comparing reports across regions or industries had to search repeatedly or manage multiple tabs.

My ownership

Gathered requirements, explored concepts, created wireframes and high-fidelity UI, and contributed to usability testing.

Constraints

The feature needed to fit existing report pages.

It needed to support small and large collections and scale to other content types.

Research and evidence

Used prior research and data to establish analyst and researcher needs.

The published case study reports five remote usability sessions.

Important decisions

Combined a browsable carousel with an expanded collection view.

Used distinct report imagery to differentiate related content.

Alternatives considered

Explored modals, sticky floating menus, and carousels.

Tradeoffs

The final pattern balanced compact in-page discovery with access to the full collection.

Collaboration

Gathered requirements with product, sales, and engineering stakeholders.

Systems thinking

Designed the interaction for different collection sizes and potential use with reports, articles, charts, and videos.

What shipped

Reflection

The next iteration considered filtering, extension to other asset types, and continued engagement monitoring.
